How to Build a Successful Network Marketing Business

Friday, July 31st, 2009

If you are in a Network Marketing business and you are selling or convincing your prospect to join you are doing it all wrong.

Building a successful network marketing business is not about selling its about education. However many people in the industry make the mistake of applying sales techniques to “Close the Sale” forcing the prospect into purchasing/joining their business and wondering why they are failing.

The Guided Purchase
Going for a guided close takes place during direct, person-to-person conversation which might be on the phone, or at the end of a meeting.

They have sat through a presentation, and now it’s your turn to go for the sale and “close” the deal … it’s decision time.

Many pros have mastered the guided purchase and they have developed a response for every objection. They have a list of their prospects desires, their wish list, and their emotional triggers which they acquired from the previous “interview” conversations.

They will personally “guide” them down a path that leads to a purchase.

If you are skilled at the guided purchase, that prospect is going to “buy” today whether they want to or not. However, it is NOT the best way for keeping sales as the person is buying for all the wrong reasons which always leads to buyer’s remorse shortly after.

There are several reasons why the guided approach doesn’t work and it comes down to one primary piece of psychology:

“A person convinced against their will is of the same opinion still.”

Many times during a guided purchase, the salesperson will get the prospects emotions flowing and they have no time to think logically which is the recipe that always leads to a sale which is why it’s the primary tool of choice for direct response marketers.

This “heart only” approach is extremely effective, but counter-productive for the Network Marketing industry because you are not making a one-time sale…

You are looking for the years of commitment it will take to build a successful network marketing business

Unfortunately, when those emotions dissipate and logic sets in, the person may regret the decision they made and they usually end up quitting within days or weeks.

Personally I prefer the voluntary close. This works best for building a successful network marketing business as the prospect “sells themselves” and makes the decision to purchase on their own.

Beginners Golfing Tips

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Learning to play golf successfully is not something that you can really learn while playing a video game. This news is sometimes a crushing blow to those who have spent hours playing Nintendo’s Wii Sports but it is in fact the crushing reality. Learning how to play golf in real life is sometimes very complicated and will require that you pay close attention to the exact rules and form. While learning from a professional coach is a wise idea, there are a few mistakes that most beginners tend to make. Learning how to overcome these mistakes will greatly improve your chances of playing a good game of golf and walking away from the green feeling pleased with your score.

One of the biggest problems that beginners have when learning golf is they tend to look up when they actually go to strike the ball. This is a problem because it can result in a stroke being counted even if you did not hit the ball. You can just imagine how this can quickly add up to a horrible golf score. It is important to always look down until after you have hit the ball. To ensure that you do stay down until after the hit ensure that you keep your hips properly rotated. If you have trouble with this concept talk to your coach for some specific tips to help you. Additionally, ensuring that you keep your arms extended fully while you are swinging has been known to help many beginning golfers. Your last step should be looking at where the ball was for a couple of seconds after you strike the ball before you look up to see where it went. This will help you pace yourself and help you avoid looking up too quickly.

Another common problem for beginning golfers is that many putts on the green are continuously missed. To help overcome this problem you should ensure that you are standing in the correct putting stance and are looking straight down at the top of your ball. If you are not looking directly down, you are likely to misjudge the angle and your ball will veer off in an undesirable direction. Only look straight down at the ball when you actually putt and you will be looking at a much greater chance of actually hitting the ball into the hole without having to continuously putt and putt again.

Many new golfers also tend to have a problem with the ball going left or right, rather than straight ahead. While this may seem like a very complicated problem to correct, it is actually quite simple with a bit of patience. The first thing you always need to keep in mind is your stance. If you are not standing appropriately before you even swing the club, you do not stand a chance of a successful stroke. You need to ensure that you are taking the time to carefully analyze your stance before you ever swing, if you notice that your club is not squarely touching the ball then you may need to back up a bit to ensure that you are not hitting the ball from the side of the club. This is one of the biggest things that will throw a ball to one side of the green or another. Ensuring a solid, square swing will help your ball go to the desired location with a bit of practice.

Hooking or slicing are two of the major flaws that strikes at most beginners. This is something that can be quite difficult to correct as well. Some people stand incorrectly which causes the ball to hook, while others are gripping the club too firmly}, causing the clubhead to hit the ball the wrong way. Regardless of your problem, taking a close look at your stance, as well as ensuring that you are not gripping the club too tightly should be quite helpful in correcting a hooked ball. Of course, once you have started making adjustments to your stance or even your grip, you need to practice a lot more to improve your skills.

Gift Watches for Kids

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Are you looking for a good gift idea for your son or daughter? Think about giving a kids wrist watch. They make a great gift idea because they can be a teaching tool and a lot of enjoyment for the one getting it.

Many people remember the watches they had as kids, specifically their original watch. It is a item that comes across as being a little adult, but it is styled in such a manner that will directly appeal to kids tastes and interests.

For young children wrist watches offer a fun and personal opportunity for them to learn how to tell time. Most are specifically designed to help make learning easier with specifics like labeling on the hands or dividing the watch face into easier to read sections. They also are available in a variety of creative colors and designs it’s easy to find one that compliments each kid’s personal tastes. For younger kids you may want to look at waterproof kids watches.

As kids become older they will likely start to favor a watch that looks a little more grown up and possibly one that includes more functions. Some will still like the theme-based watches, but other kids will start to find greater interest in the sports or adult like watches. This will vary depending on the child’s personality. Before you begin shopping for childrens watches you will definitely need to be prepared and know a bit about the kid receiving it.

If you take the effort to find a watch that matches the child’s individuality it can be an enormous hit, potentially even the favorite gift that they can’t wait to show off to their friends. You will know you have found the right one when you observe the large smile on their face.

Bird Watching, Treasure Hunting & Travel

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

What are some of the things that one can do when they look to get out there and really get into ornithology and get out and there and get into an hobby such as bird watching. We all see birds flying around us everyday and there is something about birds that really fascinate us when we see them flying around in fantastic union, it is amazing when we see how they all change direction and so we marvel and look to get close to them through the hobby of bird watching. There are quite a few specialist clubs and associations out there with various experts who can teach us all we want to know about ornithology and general information about bird watching.

Another of the great outdoor activities is that of treasure hunting as we see that more and more companies and businesses are getting out there and looking to build their teams through these type of team building activities through getting people looking for buried treasure and learning to use metal detectors. We now know that there is a strong link between the revenue that a company can generate and that of how well teams are bonded.

Another of the ways that companies are looking to lower the stress levels of the employees is to get them to take up more world travel and vacations by offering travel deals subsidised by the company at discount prices so that that will encourage all to take part in more vacations. Getting away from it all is strongly related to lowering levels of stress and so we see more and more businesses looking to get their employees to take more vacations.

DVD Players That Will Protect Your Collection for Ages

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Buy DVD players to amaze your friends! This is sometimes how you go about purchasing your player. But don’t you want quality playback? The most inexpensive DVD players are sometimes the best, even though the top name brands advertise more thus their names are more familiar. But that is only the company putting the name in front of you. That doesn’t mean that they are necessarily better than the brands you haven’t heard of before. The most important thing is the quality of the music or the sound from the movie or video.

When looking for a DVD movie, there are a wide choice of places to look, both online and off. But when you are adding to your collection, you want a company you can trust and who makes buying easy and fast. Purchase some music or a movie from an online store and note the response time. If they ship fast and are responsive to your needs, stick with them! They want to keep your business, and they will usually go the extra mile to fulfill your needs. Online stores who offer DVDs as well as equipment and accessories are often good bets to take good care of you.

Shopping for DVD Covers needs doesn’t have to be a hassle. In fact, the easier it is, the better. Then you can build your collection rapidly. Perhaps you love jazz and are completing a giant collection you are proud of. Or maybe you are putting together a full set of every 60s hit you can locate. If you are the movie buff, you might be putting together a sampling of all the movies of George Clooney, or all the pictures directed by your favorite director. You can collect them by genre, such as anime, adventure or comedy, or you can collect them by decade.

No matter what your favorite DVDs are, music, movies or video, you must get that collection complete and play it on some good equipment. So DVD players to amaze your friends and family? Maybe. But it’s better if you carefully choose a player that will amaze YOU! You need something that will give high-quality performance, and from a provider that also gives great customer service. Then you can enjoy your music or movie collection with no distractions.

Should You Use Grass Carp For Aquatic Weed Control?

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Controlling the aquatic plants in a pond, or in any body of water is quite critical. Why you say? Well, since for some reason or another, you’ve decided that you don’t want it to be there. No matter if these plants have generated a sort of hindrance for swimmers, or have just simply stopped up the motor on a favorite boat, you want them to be gone, and there’s many ways to do it.

Naturally you could utilize chemicals, plastic lining, freezing, manual pulling them up, or perhaps even dye, but these are mighty strenuous, and there is no guarantee that your pond, or even the fish, would ever be the same again following these actions. Therefore it is time to look into alternative means—methods which will not damage you OR your pond.

In nineteen sixty-three, a new fish was introduced in to the U.S. ecology, and this fish was known as the Grass Carp. This fish was purposefully integrated into the ecosystem for one purpose of eradicating  aquatic plants, and so far it’s done a great job. Here in the US, A Grass Carp is commonly called a White Amur, presumably because the phrase Carp has derogatory interpretations here in the U.S., and the name “Amur” is a reference to the river which the fish originates from, a river which runs the border between China and Russia.

The Grass Carp, is what’s referred to as an aggressive species, indicating that it’ll reproduce and overtake any ecosystem which it is introduced in (sort of like humans), however science has come a long way, and while it required a lot of time, as well as a lot of gene manipulation, sterilizing the Grass Carp became standard procedure all over the world so that the integration doesn’t hurt or destroy the ecosystem.

Another thing to take into account, is that the Grass Carp doesn’t consume every kind of grass, naturally it loves plant life, and would eat the vast majority of it, but just like with human being, there’s items that it enjoys over others. A couple of the items that the Grass Carp does enjoy, are:

Coontail
Spikerush
Smartweed
Bladderwort
Bulrush
Water hyssop
Eelgrass

There are many others, and a visit to a library, a web query, or talking with an expert would immediately let you know what the grass carp will consume.

When purchased in bulk, Grass Carp is fairly inexpensive, at about $10-20 per fish, which is perfectly reasonable when you consider the years of service it will give you; living for about ten to eleven years.

In certain states, you’ll be required to acquire a license prior to putting Grass Carp in any body of water, whether it is your water. To discover if this is necessary, speak with the game warden near you, or just check the regulations of the state, since that information is freely available to any person that requires it.

As you can see, Grass Carp are an excellent alternative to using chemical compounds, or even lining the pond with a plastic cover, since not only are they perfect for ridding you of unwanted plants, you should also remember that this is an interdependent relationship, you provide something that they want, and in return they provide their services to you, keeping you from having to do it on your own. Overall, that’s a great deal.

Do it your self wedding Flowers

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Its no secret that the expense of a Los Angeles Wedding with fine floral arrangement can take your breath away.

Southern California is the fertile growing location for hundreds of varieties of flowers. With that in mind, it is no wonder that the typical Do It Your Self Bride would seem to assume that the world of flowers would be at her fingertips right here in Southern Calif.on a moments notice. This charming thought would lead any inexperienced person right into the thorney truths of flower planning.  Grand Tradition wedding pros can help.  The different climates in Southern California alone produce different calendars of floral availability.  This means that your Peonies, tulips, callalillies and dozens of other fine flowers will more than unlikely be able to stand your warm climate wedding day.

They may not be available either. For this reason, it is vital that the Los Angeles Wedding Venue DIY bride do her homework way ahead of time to insure the supply meets her demands.  Unfortunately, in California; the seasons have been known to have their extremes which have played their part in destroying crops and escalating cost in even the whole sale market.  Ever wonder why long stemmed red roses are so over the top expensive in February?  Any one of these factors may have had their part in the availability from one year to the next.   San Diego offers vibrant varieties of flowers grown right in the rich soils along the southern most part of the coast of California.  However,  the varieties do hold diligently to their designated seasons.

If you wish for an amazing bouquet of tulips and a venue filled with a sea of tulips dancing with joy on your tables and you want to grow them your self?

You have homework to do and you need time.  Here are some very important keys to keep in mind if you want to shave some of the floral expense from your budget.

Buy tulip bulbs that are 1-1/2 inches in diameter. The tulips should be labeled and pre-selected for the Southern California area. Purchase the tulips between September and December. The best tulip varieties are Avignon, Blue Jay, Fiesta and Apeldoorn’s Elite.

Freeze the tulip bulbs 6 weeks before planting them. Keep them away from all fruits, especially apples. Frozen bulbs produce the prettiest blooms. Freezing the bulbs ensures that they do not sprout before planting. Blend a low-nitrogen fertilizer into your soil, a pound of 10-10-10 for every 100 square feet. Make sure the soil is rich with nutrients by also blending in organic matter. The soil should be well drained.

If you want tulips at the end of March, plant Angelique or Apricot Beauty. Darwin Hybrids and Triumph grow best in April, and for even greater results, plant Fringed and Parrot to bloom in May. Bury the tulip bulbs 5 inches under the soil. The tips should protrude from the soil surface if planting the bulbs in pots. Water well after planting. Water them less often until leaves form, and then water frequently again. Timing is essential what a gamble you face with the possibility of  not having  your tulips ready  on your wedding day.

Warm weather will cause them to open and die off much faster.   So, when you pick them remember to have a refrigerator ready just for your flowers a day or two ahead.   Be sure to keep it free of citrus and only use this for flower storage.

Hopefully by this time you have already graduated from floral craft101 and have learned the technique of wiring your flowers into your arrangement for the most impressive presentation.

The Balloon Arch

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Introduction

Whenever there is a special event being held, the organisers want to make an impact or find something novel to wow the people attending the event. Sometimes there are ice sculptures or huge displays of flowers, maybe swathes of fabric, all intended to make an impression on the guests. One novel idea is to have Balloon sculptures or a Balloon Arch. They are bright, colourful and impressive structures which catch the eye and are a wonderful way to make an impact at your event. There are balloon arches to compliment any occasion, whether it is a wedding, promotional marketing campaign event or special celebration such as 40th wedding anniversary.

Usually when there is a special event, profession balloon decorators would be engaged to make an eye catching arch of colour or combination of colours which can be twisted to greater effect. There is a choice of a huge selection of any number of colours, from basic colours to pearl shine and metallic finishes, when combined in a creative blend, they will augment any decor you may choose.

Professional balloon party decorators would know how to prepare a balloon arch and use electronic equipment to measure the precise amount of helium to fill the balloon to achieve a uniform size for the best results.

However, if you are an aspiring balloon sculptor then you might like to attempt a balloon arch for yourself.

Here is How You Make a Balloon Arch

Materials:

Latex Balloons (The number will depend on the size of the arch), Nylon Line (Like that used for fishing), 2 Weights, Balloon Sizer, Curling Ribbon or tulle (Net), Helium in canister

Stage 1

Cut the nylon thread (fishing line) to the precise, length required (See formula below)

Arch length formula

  • If the arch is wider than it is tall: Height + Width = approximate total length
  • If the arch height and width are about the same: (1.5 x Height) + Width = approximate total length

If the arch is taller than it is wide: (2 x Height) + Width = approximate total length

Stage 2

Both ends need to be tied to something heavy to hold it in place while you work.

Stage 3

Using the balloon sizer as a guide, inflate the balloons with helium so that they are a consistent size. (A cardboard circular template can be used if you have no sizer.)

Stage 4

Secure the balloons on to the line (always approaching the line from the same side)

Stage 5

Leave approximately 12″ between each balloon. Once they are tied on the balloons can be moved smoothly to the required position so that it is firm and the shape you want.

Stage 6

Release the ends of the line from its holder and fix a suitable weight to either end of the arch to hold it in place. It can be a star weight or frilly foil weight.

Stage 7

Any finishing touches can now be added to the arch such as curling ribbon which is allowed to hang down or tulle festooned to give a wedding effect.

Helium Balloons

Balloons filled with helium gas are lighter than air which means they float upwards. Professional quality balloons are made from 100% biodegradable latex and are usually larger in size than most retail packet balloons. Helium filled latex balloons from your wholesale balloon suppliers typically only retain their buoyancy for a few hours. The enclosed helium atoms are smaller than the pores in the latex through which they escape. To increase the float time of a helium balloon for up to a week, the inside of the balloons is coated with a special polymer solution to minimise the leakage of the helium.

Safety and environmental concerns

Helium filled balloons once released into the atmosphere usually travel a long way before they finally burst or deflate. An estimated 90/95% of balloons released rise to an altitude of 5 miles, at which height the cold will cause the balloon to become brittle and shatter into miniscule pieces. The little fragments then floating back to earth to degrade into the ground. Because the latex from which balloons are made comes from the Hevea tree they are completely biodegradable and the dyes used in latex colouring are also non-toxic. Research has demonstrated that latex balloons degrade faster than oak leaves. Oxidation occurs first in the breakdown of latex and it begins within an hour of a balloon being inflated. As the decaying process is by natural exposure the nutrients are released into the soil.

Balloon Sculptures and Arches

Even though hundreds of balloons may be needed for sculptures and arches, they are often constrained because of the round shape of the balloons. More ambitious “sculptures” have been attempted on occasion but mostly they are restricted to simple walls or arches.

There are many events where balloon arches could be used. The most popular type of arch is a single row of pearl latex balloons with co-ordinating ribbons. Often they provide a focal point at a wedding for a couple to pass through either at the service or at the reception. They may serve as a frame to outline other displays or for photograph taking, or just to enhance a feature at the venue. The arch is held in place by a hand-made weight covered by a bow. Sometimes balloons arches are used for table decorations at special events with smaller balloons for each arch. The decoration will usually include curled ribbon with an added weight to stop the balloons from floating away.

Conclusion

There is no doubt that balloon arches make a wonderful eye catching centre piece for any event|occasion|festivity}. There is an unlimited choice of colours and effects, balloon printing can make a particularly interesting balloon arch at a relatively low cost. They are a spectacular alternative to arches of flowers or drapes and provide a lively talking point for guests. Whatever your celebration may be, whether it is a wedding, birthday or special anniversary, or a corporate event, the balloon arch will give a special flavour to your occasion enhancing the total experience.

Difference Between Commercial and Custom Cut Gemstones

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Colored gemstones are initially judged by their color and unlike diamonds not their brilliance or cut. This is even more true with emeralds, ruby, and sapphire since they are seldom cut with modern meet-point faceting. Meet point faceting is a cutting technique based on accurate angles to produce the best optics for each gemstone species.  Most of the big three colored stones are cut with weight retention in mind rather than optimal light return. It is also rare to find commercial cut stones with a polish that is better than 14000 diamond grit. American style faceting in contrast is usually polished at 50K diamond or higher. Newer aluminum or cerium oxides used by custom faceters come closer to a 100000 grit polish.

One mistake that gemstone buyers make when looking at well cut stones is to be dazzled by the brilliance while forsaking the color. Never forget the color! Color is the number one criterion for judging colored gemstones. Our eyes naturally gravitate to the brilliant gemstone on the counter but brilliance will make light colored gemstones look better than they are. Turn the stone over or look at it from another angle to get a better gauge of the actual body color of the gemstone without the cut affecting your perception. Clarity and brilliance is important but should not trump color. Color is always the highest percent of cost in any colored gem. After you’ve found a few gems with the best color then go and judge them for clarity, cut, and “fire”. You don’t need to sacrifice brilliance or clarity but it should not be the first aspect to look for.

Differences between authentic and knockoff Gucci Products

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

Observe the material of the handbag. Authentic Gucci handbags are made of high quality materials. The company uses real leather or animal skin to manufacture the bags. And Gucci handbags are made from a single piece of leather, so you shouldn’t see seams where the bag was stitched using several different pieces.

Look into the craftsmanship of the handbag. The authentic designer handbags are expensive.

Gucci Boston Bags not only because the brand name and the prestige they carry cost money, but also the high standard of quality command higher prices. The craftsmanship on the real ones is unquestionable, not a single stitch in the handbag would be out-of-place. Gucci handbags have straight, firm stitching, with high-quality threading. If the stitching on the handbag is skew-whiff, messy or inconsistent in any way, it is likely a fake one. If you see a Gucci Jeans you will not see puckered leather, wonky stitching on an authentic designer Gucci handbag.

Look for the serial number. Many brands of authentic handbags have serial number. Gucci includes a small leather tag on the zipper seam of the handbag where the serial number locates. There are 4 to 6 numbers on the tag stamped and located at the back of the leather. The tag also says GUCCI and stamped where it is made.

Inspect the handbag’s hardware. All of the hardware on your Gucci Sunglasses should in right color and sheen. You can check it on official website of the company. The hardware also should not been scratched. The brand name or logo should be engraved on the hardware, not embossed or simply printed. You can also find the brand name of logo engraved on the strap hardware.
